Festival Shop ~

The Festival Shop is located in a small wooden-panelled store room on the farm for four weeks each year. It stocks a range of unusual books, baskets, bags, cards and other handmade items. These include :

•    handmade willow baskets by Peter Dibble;
•    handmade walking sticks by Stewart Goldie-Morrison;
•    fairtrade bags by Maison Bengal;
•    Jacob sheepskins from Simply Snape;
•    books by Full Circle Editions – including Barley Bird by Richard Mabey;
•    The Sea by Maggi Hambling;
•    Much Ado About Mutton by Bob Kennard;
•    pottery by Mercury Hare;
•    knives by Tobias Ford;
•    Festival greeting cards featuring work by Tessa Newcomb, Jason Gathorne-Hardy & Harry Becker.

The “Great Glemham” Range ~ “GG”

For 2016 we are also launching a new range of bespoke handmade products that are being made at the farm or made on commission for The Alde Valley Spring Festival. These include :

•    GG Beef Boards ~ kitchen chopping boards made with White House Farm beefsteak fungus stained oak;
•    GG Standing Figure Boards ~ kitchen chopping boards made with plain and burr oak from White House Farm;
•    GG Howgill Boards ~ kitchen chopping boards inspired by the Howgill Fells in Cumbria;
•    GG Sycamore Platters ~ large boards made with sycamore grown at White House Farm;
•    GG Barley Bird Boards ~ inspired by a design created by sculptor / painter Roger Hardy and made by hand by Leszek Zielinski using wood from the farm;
•    GG Foraging Bags ~ made to a Festival design by Studio Vandertas;
•    GG Travel Bags ~ sketch / laptop bags and overnight bags made to Festival designs by Studio Vandertas and tested on trips to Borneo in 2015;
•    GG Picnic Shoulder Hold-All ~ made to a Festival design by Studio Vandertas;
•    GG Cracket Stools ~ small elm / oak / ash / yew stools made by Raymond Hopkins;
•    GG Larne Stools ~ large curved elm stools by Raymond Hopkins;
•    GG Dairy Stools ~ made with oak, ash, yew and elm by Raymond Hopkins.
•    GG Kitchen Knives ~ a selection of bespoke Festival designs made by Tobias Ford;
•    GG Dough Scrapers ~ handmade from White House Farm oak.
